Alex O’Loughlin is an Australian actor, writer, director, and producer who is best known for playing Lieutenant Commander Steve McGarrett on CBS’ remake of the action police procedural television series Hawaii Five-0 as well as for portraying Cornish fisherman and convict Will Bryant in the 2005 miniseries titled The Incredible Journey of Mary Bryant. Some of his other roles include playing Kevin Hiatt in the FX crime drama series The Shield, Marcus Bohem in the teen supernatural thriller The Invisible, Dr. Andy Yablonski in the CBS medical drama series Three Rivers, Jack Flange in the romantic drama film Oyster Farmer, Mick St. John in the paranormal romance television drama series Moonlight, Marshall Connelly in the musical drama film August Rush, and Stan in the romantic comedy film The Back-up Plan.
