ST. LOUIS — The 45th Soulard Mardi Gras wrapped up with the Bud Light Grand Parade in downtown St. Louis. The event featured a variety of floats, including one with a gigantic insect and another with an alien spaceship. Local favorites like the Saint Louis Aquarium and the Cardinals participated, drawing large, peaceful crowds.

Officials reported a smooth event with few problems. “The crowd has been very peaceful… We have plenty of law enforcement out there,” said an event spokesperson. The parade, with about 80 units, was praised for its creativity and smooth execution.

Only ten citations were issued during the festivities, mostly for possession and one for public urination, indicating a largely responsible celebration by attendees.

The Soulard Mardi Gras remains a key event in St. Louis, showcasing community spirit and creativity.
